Words have power

By Peggy Simonis____________________________________________________________

Prov 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Prov 18:20 From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is satisfied; he is filled with the product of his lips.

Do we have the power of life and death to our tongue?

Is it possible someone to curse or to bless him self?

When we pray to God and we say: "I can't stand anymore" "I am weak" 'I'm sick and tired" "I'm not good enough" "I'm not gonna make it" and so much more negative talking, this can produse a certain atmosfaire in our life.

Our words can become our reality.
Do you believe this? Is this biblical? Let's go to the Word of God:

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Gen 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Gen 1:6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water.”

And if you continue reading the 1st chapter of Gennesis you will see that God made everything with the word of His mouth!

And then He created man with His hands .

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

4 times in 2 verses the bible says that we are made in God’s own image! It's like God wanted to be sure we will understand that we are like Him.

So if we are made according to the image of God that means that in the same way God spoke and everything had to obey under His command, this is exactly what is happening to our lives, know it or not! What we speak must happen!

So the devil in order to steal our authority and dominion the Lord has given us, he comes with suggestions. If we believe these suggestions in our heart and confess them out loud, that's it, we have cursed our selves... and maybe our spouses, or our family or our friends!

The bible says
Rom 10:8 “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

In the exact same way someone can curse him self!
By believing in the heart the negative suggestions, and by confessing them out loud  with the mouth.

How powerful!
And how dangerous if we do the wrong use of the tongue.
Let us all be aware of the power the Lord has given us to use it for our benefit. For blessing and life!

Prov 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

The gifts and callings of God are irrevocable.

BY Argie Simonis

God has created you with special gifts and talents and everything about you is formulated for a purpose.

"Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations." (Jer 1:5)

Some people are so multi-talented though, that it is really hard to seek God because they can do so many things by themselves. Jeremiah was called to be a prophet far before he was quilified to be. The gifts and the callings of God are not according to your abilities. God's plans for your life were made before you were even born, before  you have ever developed your skills or done anything else. We see the same with Paul in Galatians 1:15: "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace..."

In Romans 11:29 says that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. God never takes it back. Before you did anything good or bad, God had already a plan for your life. This plan never changes because God never changes. Even if you make a mistake and get off track, God has always a way to place you back on track again. Like a GPS. It doesn't matter what kind of a mess you got your life in.
I would like to use as an example the lives of some Bible heroes  to encourage each one of you that did make a mistake and fell off track from God's will.

- Abraham
He really messed up many times, but God still had the same plan for his life. Abraham and Sarah thought they were getting too old and so they decided to help God out. So Hagar gave birth to Ishmael, after having sex with Abraham (Genesis 16:1-15). It turned out that it was not God's will. Ishmael became the father of all Arabs and the whole Arab-Israeli conflict we have today started back with Abraham because he decided to do things on his own and he messed the whole thing up. But God still brought His will to pass and it was 18 years later that Isaac was born when Sarah was 91 years old and Abraham was 100 (Genesis 16:16-17:1). God still did it, even when Abraham almost gave Sarah to Abimelech's harem (Genesis 20:1-12). He wasn't a perfect example. He messed up so many times!

- Moses
Moses knew what the will of God was for his life, but he stilled messed it up. At his 40's he kills an egyptian because this is how he thought God would use him to bring deliverance to the people of Israel (Acts 7:22-25). This cost him 40 years suffering in the wilderness and 30 more years of suffering to the Israelites.

- David
He commited adultery and when he tried to cover it up he became a murderer (2 Samuel 11:1-17)

- Elijah
In 1 Kings 17:17-22 we see Elijah raising the widow's son from the dead. That's the first time this happens in the Bible!
In 1 Kings 18 he calls fire from heaven and he turns an entire nation to God (verse 39). Then he broke the three and a half years drought and runs and beats Ahab riding his horse in a 20 mile run! Then Jesabel sends him a note and he saw himself dead and he ran away. The Lord told him to go and anoint Hazael to be king over Syria, Jehu to be king over Israel and Elisha to replace him because he had messed up (1 Kings 19:15-16). The revival Elijah caused didn't last because he ran to hide into the mountains. And then he only went to anoint Elisha without doing the other 2 things that God told him to do. He gave up.
We see Elisha doing these things later, when Elijah was gone (2 Kings 8:13, 9:1-6).
We also see that Naboth gets killed by Ahab (1 Kings 21:1-14). Ahab wouldn't be king if Elijah had obeyed God in the first place.
If Elijah had done what God told him to do (anoint Hazael to be king of Syria, Benhadad wouldn't have done all these things mentioned in 2 Kings 6:24-25,28.

You can't have messed it up more than Elijah did! But he still was walking with God, still had a relationship with God, he still splitted Jordan river in two and on the other side a chariot of fire took him in Heaven (2 Kings 2:11). He never died! That is one of the 2 incidents ever recorded  in the Bible! Enoch was the first (Heb. 11:5).

- Apostle Paul
Paul was seperated from his mother's womb (Galatians 1:15). He may didn't throw stones to the first christian martyr Stephen, but he was complicit (Acts 7:58)
He got so zealous against the christians that he went everywhere and he arrested men and women, threw them in prison consenting unto their death. He was killing christians. Saul was the number one persecutor of the christians (Acts 8:1-3).
In Acts 9 while he was on his way to Damascus, God appeared to him in a light and knocked him down to the ground and said "Saul, Saul why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the pricks." (Acts 9:3-18). And the Lord revealed Himself as Jesus. Saul humbled himself and went in. It took a renewing of his mind. He spent 3 and a half years in the deserts alone, and then another dozen years or more in Tarsus just renewing his mind, re-adjusting all of his theology from the wrong things he had been taught, but he came back stronger than ever! His name was changed to the apostle Paul.  This is a man who was totally off track, who was killing christians and yet he wrote half of the New Testament!

- Samson
In Judges chapters 13-16 we see Samson, another guy who was anointed by God, and seperated from his mother's womb. An angel came and appeared to Samson's parents and told them that she was going to conceive a supernatural child and that this child would bring deliverance from the Philistines and from the day of his birth he was seperated unto God. He was a Nazarite to God, and he couldn't shave his head and so he went out and he began to start bringing deliverance. He conquered the Philistines on many occasions. But he had a lust for women. He married a woman who God told him not to marry, a woman outside of the Israelite faith. He married a Philistine and all kinds of problems came. They came and took his wife away and because of it he got mad. He fought the Philistines and then he had a number of sexual problems. He had a serious sexual addiction and finally he ended up with Delilah, who sweet talked him into giving away his secret. They shaved his head and instantly lost his power. It was his covenant with God. It was a spirit of might that came upon him. He did things that were humanly impossible. He picked up the gates of a city and walked off with them! This was God's anointing. He was a man seperated by God and given a special gift of supernatural strength to bring deliverance to the Israelites. He took a jawbone of an ass and killed over a 1.000 people with no weapon! He was mightly used by God not because he was a perfect man. He had serious problems but God used him anyway.

When they shaved his head he lost his power. Some would think at that point that's the end of it. He broke his covenant. And they actually punched his eyes out and they tied him to a wheel that they used to put an animal to and walked around to grind corn. The mighty man of God was reduced to being humiliated. The Philistines brought him into their coliseum and they wanted to mock him. Many people would think that after all these God was not with him any more. But Samson told this young boy who was leading him around to put him next to the 2 pillars upon which the whole house was built and after this young boy did so and Samson repented for his rebelion towards God and he said
"God strengthen me just one more time and let me die with the Philistines".

God heard his prayers and he literally pulled those 2 pillars down. Again the same anointing, not his natural strength, this God-given ability came upon him and all of the Philistines in the coliseum died. He actually ended up slaying more of the enemies of God in that one act than he had in his whole life up to there!

David wrote a huge amount of the Bible. He wrote all the psalms and much of the Bible was written about him (1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 1 Chronicles).
Moses is the one who wrote the first 5 books of the Bible (Genesis, Exhodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy), and he also wrote psalm 90. Paul wrote half of the New Testament. If you put these 3 people together, just Paul, David and Moses, do you know that all 3 of them were murderers? And yet, half of the  New Testament was written by a murderer, Paul, half of the Old Testament, Psalms, Proverbs, the first 5 books of the Bible, was written by people who murdered people!

If you think that what you've done has just stopped God and that God could never use you, then you aren't reading the Bible accurately. The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. It doesn't matter what you've done. God has a destiny for you and you are never too late to find it. Moses was 80 years old when God finally started using him and went back to Egypt and started bringing deliverance to the Israelites.God used him up until he was 120 years old:

"And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." (Deut. 34:7)

At his 120 years he was still fulfilling what God had called him to do! I will say it again: It doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, how much you have messed it up. God has a purpose for your life.  I am not saying that you can just live however you want to and it will still come to pass. You may cause yourself a tremendous amount of pain and suffering if you get off track. But if you will repent and if you will humble yourself and say

"God I believe Romans 11:29 and whatever you've called me to do I believe You can still get it done through me"

If you would ask God "Father here I am, take this mess that I've made and somehow use me, get me back on the right track".

If you would do that, if you would be sincere, it's not too late God can still do awesome things through you! And now that you know that you have messed up and that you no longer are self-confident and you are no longer going to do things your way, if you allow God to flow through you and if you will be God depentent, I believe that your later years can be better than your former years. You can actually see more things happen than you could ever have imagined! God's plan will always be better than your plan, and He has a way to do it.

Amen!

Speaking in tounges - A supernatural powerful gift

Speaking in tounges - A supernatural powerful gift
BY Argie Simonis

In my previous posts I wrote about eternal life, the being born again experience and the baptism of the Holy Spirit which I strongly recommend you to read first in order to get a better understanding. In this post I will be dealing with something that has caused a great confusion and division among the believers. The gift of speaking in tongues. I hope that the Word of God will enlighten your mind and help you see the great potential of this Godly given gift.

I believe that speaking in tongues is not THE sign of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe it is normal, it is natural, it is the right thing to do and if a person is not messed with by relegion and been put fear in them, I believe you would naturally speak in tongues when you receive the Holy Spirit.
Speaking in tongues is not of the devil and you don't become demon possesed:
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13)

If you are seeking God and want this power of the Holy Spirit that the scripture is talking about, then He is not going to let the devil give you some demonic gift! If speaking in tongues is of the devil, why don't you hear people in bars speaking in tongues? Why don't you go into prostitution houses and hear all them speaking in tongues? It is amazing the arguements people come up with to talk people out of this! God does not give His Holy Spirit to those who beg or deserve it, but to those who ask. You have to by faith begin to start speaking and believe that it is God that is inspiring you.

"But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1Corinthians 2:14)

"...we have the mind of Christ" (1Corinthians 2:16)
We have to receive revelation of the Word of God through the Holy Spirit.

Some people, especially in the Pentecostal circles, say that they just speak in tongues and can't control it. This is not true:
"And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets." (1Corinthians 14:32)
The Holy Spirit does not force you to speak in tongues. He inspires you but YOU have to speak. The same goes with teaching. I believe that God is speaking through me but He doesn't force me to say it. This is why it all comes out through my personality. If you are waiting for the Holy Spirit to come and force you to speak in tongues, you will never do it! When you are speaking in tongues it makes zero sense to your mind and it is embarrassing. It takes humility to speak in tongues and pride was the first thing that broke down in me when I started doing it. I just felt totaly humiliated! You can just start with small words and syllables together. It will make no sense, you may feel foolish but if you keep on doing it more words will come out. Don't wait for the Holy Spirit to force you speak in tongues. You have to cooperate with Him. When He flows through you He will inspire you but YOU have to speak.

There are languages existing on earth that they don't use words. They use whistles in different pithes. There is another language that is just clicks of  tongue. There are some translations of the Bible in these notes and clicks (Wycliffe translators): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wycliffe_Global_Alliance

And yet that's a known language people use to communicate. I guarantee you, you can't evaluate whether what you are saying is really a tongue or  not just based on how you feel about it and what it sounds like, because there are some people that click their tongue to communicate. Others whistle and so on.
The same goes with a baby. When it starts talking people may say that it is not trying to say mama or daddy, but don't you dare tell that parent that! That dad knows what that child is trying to communicate. Fear, unbelief and listening to ourself trying to evaluate if it is God or not creates doubt and may hinder you.  It makes no sense to our mind so you have to get into faith! Our mind rebels and says no, all our flesh resists speaking in tongues because it doesn't make physical, natural sense. And that's one of the reasons that makes speaking in tongues so powerful:
"But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life." (Jude 1:20-21)
Praying in the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues.

"He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself. (1Corinthians. 14:4)
Faith goes against the flesh. It gets you into the spirit realm. When you pray in tongues and do it in faith, it is just like a switch that starts releasing your most holy faith.
In the book of Corinthians, Paul speaks about mysteries and the hidden wisdom of God:
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world to our glory. (1Corinthians 2:7)

Paul was revealing these things that used to be mysteries prior to this time. So God explained to him these mysteries (like with John in the book of Revelation) and took them out of the realm of being mystery and made them simple to everybody else. Where did Paul get this? You can see a lot of these things in the book of Galatians, book of Acts starting with chapter 9. It talks about the apostle Paul. He had been a Jew, schooled under Gamaliel, one of the greatest teachers of the Law. He even persecuted christians, he gave his voice and consented to their death. Then he had his encounter with Jesus on  his way to Damascus, with the bright light that made him fall off his horse.

According to Galatians first 2 chapters Paul said of himself he went down to Jerusalem one time and saw Peter, but other than that he went out into the deserts of Arabia and he stayed there for 3 years and when he came back he became the apostle Paul and bagan ministering and started all these missionary journeys and so on. Paul and most Jews of those days could quote the first 5 books of the Bible and have certainly read the rest of the books of the Old Testament many times. He knew the Old Testament scripture but he had the wrong interpretation of it. It was all through the eyes of the Law and not through the grace of God. And so I believe during these 3 years he was taking the things that he knew from the scripture but the Holy Spirit was revealing these mysteries that he wrote. He wrote half of the New Testament  and he was revealing these mysteries. How did he get this mystery? He says that he was speaking the hidden wisdom of God in a mystery:
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world to our glory" (1Corinthians 2:7)
And this same man, writing to the same group of people, in this same book of 1Corinthians, look over here what he says:
"Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, and above all that you may prophesy.
For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men, but to God: for no man understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." (1Corinthians 14:1-2)

In a few words, when you are praying in tongues you are praying mysteries! It is not foolishness. It might not be something that you understand, but you are speaking in the tongues of men and of angels and it says here that you are speaking mysteries in the Spirit:
"For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful." (1Corinthians 14:14)

He also says that
"Why let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret." (1Corinthians 14:13)
So if you pray in tongues you need also to pray that you get an interpretation and this was talking about a gift of tongues that operates in the church. But in this same passage the scripture says
"I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all" (1Corinthians 14:18)
He spoke in tongues outside the church more than all of them together! And he didn't do it in church because he said:
"Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue." (1Corinthians 14:19)
The reason I am saying that is that some people say that you must only speak in tongues if you can also interpret that thing in church and they put all this in a church context, but here we see Paul spoke in tongues privately. It was not only in church. I believe the gift of tongues can operate privately the same way it can operate in the church and  if you can ask God to give you an interpretation, I  believe that you can do that privately too. Let's combine the following verses:

  •  "For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men, but to God: for no man understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." (1Corinthians 14:2)
  • "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world to our glory. (1Corinthians 2:7)
  • "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful." (1Corinthians 14:14)
  • "Why let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret." (1Corinthians 14:13)

Your spirit is praying the hidden wisdom of God and you must pray that you interpret.
I believe one of the ways, not the only way but one of the ways that Paul got this revelation of God's grace that just escaped from other people was because he took the scripture and he prayed over them in tongues and he was asking God for an interpretation. He believed that in his spirit had the mind of Christ (1Corinthians 2:16) and he was praying that this spiritual wisdom that was deposited in his born again spirit would come out and educate his brain and help him understand and see how Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Testament. How we were no longer under these laws and rules and regulations and how we had a new way of relating to God by grace!

So I believe one of the major ways he received all this revelation was by praying in tongues and asking for an interpretation. I am trying to say that speaking in tongues is not foolish. You don't do it just to have some goose bump up and down your spine. If you are speaking in tongues you draw out God's wisdom. You don't do it just to proove that you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and it will not do any good until you interpret it. You can take scriptures, pray over them in tongues and receive wisdom and revelation. Your understanding will come clear. And you also must pray for interpetation. The Spirit of truth will show you things to come  (John 16:13).

It is also important to remember that when praying in tongues it doesn't mean that the first thing that comes to your mind is God. That's not good! You have to check everything by the Word. For example let's say you are praying in tongues about your marriage and ask from God for interpretation and wisdom and you come up with the first thought "I think I am going to divorce her". Well, the Bible says in Malachi 2:15 that God hates divorce. Sometimes divorce is better than murder. Might be better than other options, but this is not the way God wants you to deal with things. And if you are so new in the Lord that you don't know the Word of God, then go to someone who is spiritual and share those thoughts that came to your mind after praying in tongues. Ask this person if he thinks that this is God. Go to somebody who has already studied the Word and has that wisdom and let them judge and look at what you think is God speaking to you.
You can evaluate your thoughts by the Word, because the Word of God " is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
It will devide whether it is a God thought or whether it is your own fleshly thought.

Speaking in tongues is one of the most powerful things God has given us and I believe that's one of the reasons that the devil fights it so much.People may come against you for speaking in tongues, especially religious people. I am not afraid to talk about that because it is a powerful experience.
There are many benefits of speaking in tongues. If you don't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues it is like you are charging hell with a water pistol! You need to have power. You need to have this power that Jesus spoke about! Amen.

Receiving power from Heaven:The baptism of the Holly Spirit - Spiritual gifts

Receiving power from Heaven:The baptism of the Holly Spirit - Spiritual gifts
BY Argie Simonis

I encourage you to first read the posts on eternal life and spiritual birth (birth from above) to have a better and more complete understanding of this topic. Here I will deal with Acts 1:8:

"But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth."

The power to live a Christian life is directly related to the Holy Spirit. Living a Christian life is not just difficult. It's impossible! The Lord did not create us to live for Him through our own strength, but to be dependent on Him. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you receive a special anointing from God, a power that enables you to live in a way beyond your power:

 - to turn your other cheek
 - to bless instead of cursing those who persecute you
 - to feed your enemy

This is not normal. You can not live like this with your own strength:

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, said the LORD of hosts." Zach. 4:6

Only through the Spirit can we move and experience victories. If you do not experience all of this in your life, it means that you need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, a separate experience from being born again, where these two events do not have to be very far apart from each other.

You see, there is a difference between having the Holy Spirit with you when you are born again (when you also receive salvation) and being baptized in the Holy Spirit as Jesus mentions in the first chapter of the book of Acts.

In the second chapter of Acts comes the fulfillment of the promise:

"And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, said he, you have heard of me.
For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." Acts 1:4-5

This does not mean "wait until the Father decides when to give you the Holy Spirit." This is why many live a life of inactivity when in fact the Lord is ready to give it to them. If we take this verse literally, then we will have to go to Jerusalem and wait!

In Acts 2:39 we read:

"For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call." Acts 2:39

This refers to you and me. After Pentecost we do not have to wait for the Holy Spirit to come. The Holy Spirit wants to fill you more than you want to get filled! You do not need to ask or wait. All you need is to want it! If you have been born again you can be baptized with the Holy Spirit at any time, because Jesus is the One who gives it:

"I indeed baptize you with water to repentance. but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" Μatt. 3:11

Let's look at some things regarding the gifts of the Holy Spirit:

"Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy." 1Cor. 14:1

If you ask you will receive them. If you do not ask, you will not receive them. And if you just wait, then nothing will change.

Can you move on to spiritual gifts at any time? Like opening and closing the Holy Spirit like a switch?

The Holy Spirit is constantly in a state of operation. He does not sleep or need rest. I am the one who opens and shuts. The Holy Spirit constantly gives you the inspiration and the desire to move in the spiritual gifts. It's up to you whether you will respond or not. The Holy Spirit is like a machine, a dynamo that works constantly and all you need is to connect with Him. Then His anointing and His gifts will flow.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12 Paul talks about spiritual gifts. In the next chapter he talks about " a more excellent way."
The Bible does not tell us that love is superior to spiritual gifts, but moving on to spiritual gifts motivated by love is superior to doing so in the flesh. This means that it is possible to move in spiritual gifts in the flesh, e.g. to prophesy and condemn someone in the name of the Lord.

You can move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and not do it with pure motives!

The Lord can also give you a word but by the time you speak this word you have turned it into a whole paragraph! In other words, you had a word from God and you added something of your own. God speaks through us but we do not always deliver this word perfectly. Inspiration comes from God, but is going through our personality (our mind, our character, our voice).

That's why in 1Cor. 14:29 we see that we must discern the prophecies. It is possible to say something wrong, but it does not mean that it is not from God. In John 11: 49-51 we see Caiaphas prophesying that Jesus would die for the sake of the people:

"And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said to them, You know nothing at all,
Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;" John 11:49-51

In Numbers 22: 28-30 we see that the donkey was not spiritual, but nevertheless God spoke through it. In 1 Corinthians 12:31, love is not superior to spiritual gifts. What the Word tells us is that spiritual gifts exercised with love are superior to those exercised in the flesh.

I would like to point out one more thing about 1 Corinthians 13: 8:

"Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." 1Cor. 13:8

Based on this, many believe that prophecy and tongues have already ceased, but if we continue reading it says that knowledge will also cease. But  has knowledge really ceased?

"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." 1Cor. 13:9-10

They say that this perfection mentioned here is the Word of God. Indeed, the Word of God is perfect:

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple." Psalm. 19:7

We continue reading and let the Bible explain itself:

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." 1Cor. 13:11-12

- Have you ever seen God face to face? This has not been done yet.
- Do you know everything? Can your little brain understand everything?
- Can you score 100/100 in each test?
- Can you remember everything? No one can claim that.

But when we receive our glorious body, then we will know everything.
"We shall know even as also we are known".
None of this has happened yet. But they will when Jesus comes again and we will receive our glorious bodies:

"And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." 1Cor. 15:49

So the perfect that is mentioned here is either the second coming of Jesus or our glorious bodies.

Both will be done at the same time. Then we will not need to speak in tongues nor will we need prophecy because we will understand everything. All this human knowledge will cease and we will have the supernatural knowledge of God. We will see Him face to face.

"Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Rom. 8:26

When you receive your glorious body and become perfect, you will no longer need the intercession of the Holy Spirit. But in this life, even if the Word of God is perfect, you continue to need the spiritual gifts.

"But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth." Acts. 1:8

The Bible will come alive in you! You will perceive the things of God from a completely different angle.

Not having the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the cause of this lack of power that you experience in your life.

Yes, you will go to heaven even if you have not been baptized with the Holy Spirit and probably much faster, because you will not have the power that Jesus is talking about, and you will probably die without fulfilling God's plan in your life, because you will not have the power to walk with victory! It's like trying to attack the devil with a water pistol!

Those who do not believe in spiritual gifts can not move in them.
They experience the supernatural power of God in their lives not as a norm but only as an exception.

"And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us." Rom. 5:5

The Holy Spirit baptizes you in love. He will make you love Jesus more than ever. He will transform you and strengthen you!

Amen!

How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb?

How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb?
BY Argie Simonis

Before I go any further, I would like to underline some things.
I encourage you to read the message on eternal life.

Most people today believe that God will judge us according to our performance. There are people who were born in a Christian environment, believe in Christian principles in contrast to the principles of other religions.. They are the typical traditional Christians  but they have no personal relationship with God:

"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Just recognizing Jesus is not enough. According to Rom. 10:9 You must accept Him as Lord in your life, otherwise you do nothing more than what the devil has already done:

"You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19

Salvation is received as a gift. It's not an prize you earn or a wage you deserve. It is a gift that is given to us and we receive it by faith:

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Eph. 2:8

In John 3:1 we see Nicodemus coming to Jesus at night. He came at night because he was afraid to come to Him during the day

"... if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue." John 9:22

He was afraid of the Pharisees and the religious system. He was touched by Jesus but was afraid of the cost.
But Jesus said:

"Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Μatt. 10:32-33

You must be willing to confess your devotion to Jesus publicly.
In John 3:2 Nicodemus was willing to accept Jesus as a teacher, prophet or saint, but he struggled with the question of whether Jesus was really God.
Later in John 19:39-40 we see that Nicodemus dared with Joseph of Arimathea to ask for the body of Jesus, openly declaring his relationship with Him.

Also in John 7:50-51, when the Jewish council came against Jesus, Nicodemus took a stand in favor of Jesus, defending Him, which shows that Nicodemus really moved on. He has now publicly declared his acceptance and devotion to Jesus and I believe he was born again. But at that moment, he came in the night.

"Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3

We see that if you are not born-again you will not even see the gates of Heaven. You can not have a relationship with God. Jesus spoke of being born from above, but Nicodemus thought he meant natural birth. Jesus therefore said to him,

"Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5

I should make some remarks here:
The transformation takes place inside us. Many believe that if they are good people they can have a relationship with God. But they do not understand that you must first change within yourself. You have to be reborn, you become a new person:

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2Cor. 5:17

Christianity is not just a belief system. It is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ that changes you internally. It transforms you, you become a different person. Many Christians today see themselves as an old sinner and believe that they will change when they go to heaven. Yes, there will be a change then because our corruptible body will become incorruptible:

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1Cor. 15:52-53

My soul and body will become incorruptible, but in my spirit this change has already taken place.
The Christian life is not about trying to change and become better but about making Jesus my Savior. I will change externally because of the change inside me. If you were into drugs, alcohol, gambling,  whether you were a thief or a liar, you will change. This change is the by-product of being born-again. And it works like this: You come to Jesus as you are, you get spiritually born again, and as you renew your mind (Rom. 12:2) this change begins to affect the way you act, the way you speak, the way you dress. These are the "by-products" of salvation! A truly born-again Christian is one who has changed internally.
We become like Jesus (in spirit) when we are born from above:

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." 1John 4:17

"And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." Gal. 4:6

"But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Rom. 8:9

The Bible is not simply talking about having access to God. It literally speaks of the Spirit of God living within you.

It all has to do with relationship. If all you have is a theology but you have never had a personal relationship with God, then you must be born-again. Due to the fact that you can not see your spirit in the mirror, many people rely only on what they can see and feel, which is why they believe that there is no change. The only way we can have a relationship with God is spirit to spirit:

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:24
Your actions, your thoughts and your feelings will never be perfect. You are not perfect in the flesh. But you are perfect in the spirit:

"To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect," Hebrew 12:23

If you realize who you are in spirit and worship God in the spirit, you can have a dynamic relationship with Him in the here and now. You can experience His love, His joy and peace, His power and anointing. You can hear His voice not only with your physical ears but also with your spirit.

There are times when you will see His physical manifestations, but you can not base your relationship with Him or try to experience Him only in the physical, because God is a spirit (John 4:24).

You need to understand that God is related to you based on who you are in spirit:

"For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Hebrew 10:14

This does not mean that it gives you the freedom to go and live in sin, because

"Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?" Rom. 6:16

If you succumb to sin, then you allow the devil to gain access to your life and this has devastating consequences:

"The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

If you fall into the trap of the devil, you must go back and repent, not in order to be forgiven and restore your relationship with God (this happened 2000 years ago), but in order to close the door to the devil and keep him out from your life.

If you have truly been born-again you may continue to fall into sin, but you do not lose your relationship with God because this relationship is not based on your perormance, but on who you are in the spirit. This is really good news! This is the gospel!

Amen.

REVIVAL OF AN ANCIENT DEITY to Eurovision...?

REVIVAL OF AN ANCIENT DEITY...?
By Peggy Spyrou Simonis

Genesis 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female He created them .

*** S.H.A.M.E *** is the first thought that came to my mind when I watched this year's Eurovision and especially this morally " hermaphrodite" monstrosity (not organic but by his own will) which so many foolish or very informed voted him....!
This particular who is married to another man, he is not transsexual (man get surgery to become a woman), but as he declares he is a drag queen ie man dressed female .

Whatever it is this person who has confused a lot of people with his immoral appearance, what is it that he really stands for?

The title of the song should make us think : "Rise like a phoenix" .

Is this about a DEITY of mythology and its revival in our time?
A DOUBLE nature deity worshiped by various ancient peoples, with different names but the same perverse status : Man with beard and female appearance.

That is exactly the opposite of the verses above! An insult and a patchwork for God's Creation .

Here's what Wikipedia says : (from the greek page)
"The Hermaphrodite is the myth of a creature of a **divine dual nature**, the Greeks copied this from the Middle East. Known was the dual deity Astarte-Adonis in Phoenician and Myllita-Sandonas the Babylonians. In ancient Cyprus , alongside the cult of Aphrodite had the cult of Aphroditos, who was representated by beard , phallus (penis) and female clothing . [2] in Greece, too often Hermaphroditus shown among companions of Dionysus ." (Dionysus represents the transformation and cunning as an eternal teenager) .

Is this the today's model ? Or the tomorrow's example?

I do not comment on the status of this person, and how many other people in the world who are like him, and i do not refer to the personal desires of  the homosexuals.... I refer to the nature behind this particular person.
The devil has managed to destroy the creature of God which is the mankind, and managed to make monstrosities that neither males nor females are, and now they are acceptable to the society....
We live the Sodom and Gomorrah only the scale is most larger.... it's hapening to all over the planet!
When will WE wake up? WE are those who carry the name of JESUS CHRIST, the LORD OF HOSTS, and when will WE behave as true ambassadors of the Heavenly Kingdom? Unfortunatelly WE have become the Christians of the sofa....
WE need to be a good example so others to follow us! And instead of us becoming the example, perversely and immoral people take this place .
If we were standing in the place of true faith, we would have helped a lot of people who are victims of delusion and perversion and the evil will not be so much extended .
May all of us to wake up!

The lyrics of the song speak for themselves for the evil and shame that has revived nowadays worldwide.
Reading them is like to hear Lucifer, ie the Devil, when he was casted down to Hades and was stripped of his position as cherubs ie high office of an angel in Heaven . The comments are yours...

Rise Like a Phoenix

Waking in a rubble
Walking over glass
Neighbours say we’re trouble
Well, that time has passed

Peering from the mirror
No, that isn’t me
A stranger getting nearer
Who can this person be

You wouldn’t know me at all today
From the fading light I fly
Rise like a phoenix
Out of the ashes
Seeking rather than vengeance
Retribution
You were warned
Once I'm transformed
Once I’m reborn
You know I will rise like a phoenix
But you're my flame

Go about your business
Act as if you’re free
No one could have witnessed
What you did to me

Cause you wouldn’t know me today
And you have got to see
To believe
From the fading light I fly
Rise like a phoenix
Out of the ashes
Seeking rather than vengeance
Retribution
You were warned
Once I'm transformed
Once I’m reborn
I rise up to the sky
You threw me down but
I'm gonna fly

And rise like a phoenix
Out of the ashes
Seeking rather than vengeance
Retribution
You were warned
Once I'm transformed
Once I’m reborn
You know I will rise like a phoenix
But you’re my flame
